The National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health
(NPWH) has announced an exciting collaboration with Springer Publishing to introduce a new journal, the Clinical Journal for Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (CJNPWH). Scheduled to debut in 2025, this quarterly, peer-reviewed online journal aims to drive the progress of women’s and gender-related health through cutting-edge clinical practice, health policy, and professional development insights.
Heather L. Maurer, MA, CAE, Chief Executive Officer of NPWH, expressed enthusiasm about this new venture, emphasizing the journal’s potential to serve as a valuable resource for women’s health nurse practitioners and other advanced practice registered nurses. Maurer highlighted CJNPWH’s role in spotlighting the contributions of certified women’s health nurse practitioners and enhancing the clinical expertise of the larger community, underscoring nurse practitioners’ pivotal role in advancing healthcare.
Mary Gatsch, CEO of Springer Publishing Company, echoed Maurer’s sentiments, emphasizing the alignment of this collaboration with Springer’s commitment to promoting growth and success in advanced practice nursing and women’s and gender-related healthcare. Gatsch anticipates that the journal will significantly impact women’s health and overall healthcare outcomes.
The mission of CJNPWH is to provide crucial clinical, policy, and professional development content for nurse practitioners and other advanced practice registered nurses specializing in women’s and gender-related healthcare.
Editor-in-Chief Beth Kelsey emphasized the journal’s dedication to inclusivity and says the journal considers the diverse backgrounds and experiences of its readership, focusing on addressing health disparities and promoting health equity through published articles.
